• 5.8.2 から Porter が Jarkko Hietaniemi から Nicholas Clark に
• 新機能の有無に関わらず、3ヶ月ごとの Release に
  • より bugfix を反映させやすく
  • (たとえば Mac OS X v10.3 では、結局 5.8.3-RC3 が標準添付になってしまうはめに)
  • OSに装備される版にRCが付くことはなくなる?
• LL Weekend 2004 現在の Version は 5.8.5

Parrot

• スクリプト言語のためのVM

  Parser -> Lexer -> (optimizer) -> parrotcode
